Removing Access

One of the first lines of defense is removing access. There are a few main ways of restricting or removing access to porn.

Firstly, you can physically remove access. This could be unplugging your WiFi router at night, or throwing away your phone. This is the most extreme (and most effective) form of removing access.

Secondly, you can remove access on the software side. This could be a whitelist or an app/setting that puts your device in a locked-down bedtime mode after a certain time. These are less effective than physical restrictions, but nevertheless can work very well (especially on phones).

Lastly, you can filter access. This is rarely a perfect solution since the internet is so big and so full of junk, but it does help a lot. We have some articles on setting up filtering on various operating systems.

Implementing some of or all of these greatly helps in fighting against pornography.
